Anvil Cloud Silhouette Over Tokyo Fog

Soft overcast light diffuses through a thin layer of marine fog hovering near the ground. Below, the white mist pools in low valleys and hollows, obscuring the urban landscape beneath. Above this gray floor, a massive anvil cloud spreads horizontally against the pale late-afternoon sky. The cloud formation stands in sharp silhouette, its flat, spreading top against the billowing cumulus base. Early spring air keeps the scene cool and muted, with colors limited to varying shades of slate gray and washed-out white. The horizon line remains hidden, blending the foggy ground with the cloud base. A faint, jagged edge of the cloud’s underside catches the last light before fading into the mist.
