Pigeons at Dawn Light in Cusco

A cluster of gray pigeons huddles together on the rough stone sill of a colonial window in Cusco during the misty dawn. Their feathers appear damp and textured under the soft, diffused light that falls through the heavy fog. Behind them, the dark interior of the room remains shadowed, against the pale gray of the birds' plumage. One drop of condensation rests on the edge of the weathered stone ledge near their feet.
