Cold moonlight spills across a weathered wooden door left ajar in a Méagui back alley, wedged open by a single rough brick resting on the threshold. Steam rises visibly from the glass of a nearby bus shelter, clinging to the cold night air. The door frame shows peeling paint and deep grain textures, against the smooth, wet surface of the brick. Shadows stretch long and sharp across the uneven pavement, illuminated by a faint, distant glow. A dark void opens inside the doorway, hinting at the space beyond. The steam drifts horizontally, caught in the stillness of the dry season night. The brick casts a small, hard shadow against the door's bottom edge.
