White shirts and dark towels hang limp against the pale glow, their edges blurred by heat shimmer rising from the hot asphalt. To the left, a glass bus shelter steams up, condensation distorting the interior view. The pavement reflects the faint light, creating a wet, shimmering surface that ripples under the weight of the midsummer night. Fabric rests on the line, caught in stillness, while shadows pool deep in the corners where the buildings meet. A blue plastic bag lies against the curb, its crinkled texture catching the edge of the light.
