Baghdad Cafe Door Propped Brick Moonlight

Cold moonlight spills across the rough stucco of a Baghdad corner cafe, illuminating a heavy wooden door held ajar by a single weathered red brick. Deep autumn shadows stretch long across the dusty pavement, where fallen leaves gather in the gutter. Dramatic, heavy clouds obscure most of the sky, allowing only a sliver of pale light to filter through the gaps. The door frame shows signs of wear, with peeling paint and a faded sign above the entrance. A wire mesh screen rests against the inner wall, visible through the gap. The brick sits firmly on the threshold, its texture highlighted by the stark, directional light. A small puddle near the base reflects the pale sky and the dark silhouette of the door frame.
