Weathered Door in Phoenix Midsummer

Pale blue sky stretches above a weathered wooden door standing alone in the Phoenix heat. Midsummer sun sits low on the horizon, casting long, sharp shadows that slice across the peeling paint and rough grain of the timber. The wood shows deep cracks and faded patches where the sun has bleached the surface for years. A simple metal handle rests against the warm, dusty frame. Behind the door, a figure stands still, their silhouette merging with the dark interior shadow. Dust motes hang suspended in the golden light beam that cuts through the gap beside the frame. The texture of the wood feels dry and brittle under the intense afternoon glare.
