Bright tropical sunlight illuminates a shallow puddle on the pavement outside a metro entrance in Pristina. The water surface mirrors a passing elevated train, its neon signage bleeding vibrant blues and reds across the dark liquid. Early autumn leaves, turning a muted yellow, lie scattered near the curb. The train cars appear distorted by the ripples, stretching the bright lights into long, liquid streaks. Above, the sky is a clear, cloudless blue, against the artificial glow below. The concrete edge of the metro structure frames the left side, at the base of the reflection in the urban reality. One crack in the asphalt runs parallel to the water's edge, catching a sharp highlight from the overhead sun.
