The side lighting casts sharp, jewel-like shadows between the delicate lamellae, revealing textures that range from creamy white to soft amber. Frost crystals rest on the glass frame, their geometric edges catching the pale nautical dawn glow. Nearby surfaces reflect the scene with a soft, hazy shimmer, blurring the boundary between the organic subject and the cold interior. The shallow depth of field isolates the gills, leaving the window frame and distant room in a smooth, out-of-focus wash of cool grays and muted blues.
