Lemur Wide Eyes Near Dar Es Salaam Stream

Rain-slicked fur clings to a small lemur as it perches on a mossy rock above a rushing glacial stream. The animal's large, amber eyes reflect the soft orange glow of distant city lights beginning to pierce the monsoon twilight. Water droplets cling to dark brown and grey whiskers, while the surrounding vegetation glistens with fresh rain. The humid coastal air hangs heavy in the frame, visible as a faint haze softening the background. Behind the subject, the horizon glows with the scattered yellow and white points of an emerging urban skyline. one drop of water slides slowly down the curve of the lemur's ear, catching the last of the natural light before the city takes over the night.
