Ocelot on Branch Over Glacial Stream in Rain

Golden and black spotted fur rests on the wet bark of a broad branch stretching horizontally over a rushing glacial stream. Steady rain falls in vertical streaks, darkening the orange coat and the surrounding autumn leaves to deep russet and brown. The water below churns with milky turquoise sediment, reflecting the overcast sky. Moss clumps rest on the lower branches, slick with moisture. A low angle view places the animal high above the churning water, showing the scale of the stream against the small predator. Droplets bead on the leaf edges and slide down the animal's flank, merging with the rain falling across the frame.
