Jellyfish Bell Margin Dawn Vancouver Coast

Pale translucent tissue dominates the frame, revealing the intricate, lace-like margin of a jellyfish bell in extreme close-up. The edge ripples gently, catching the first light of dawn that falls through the exceptionally clear early spring water. A soft, low sun strikes the horizon haze, casting a cool blue glow across the gelatinous surface. Tiny, fine granules of sediment rest on the delicate membrane, highlighting the texture of the living organism. The background dissolves into a deep, uniform blue, suggesting the depth of the volcanic drop-off beside Vancouver. Fine, slow-moving surface ripples distort the light just above the creature, creating shifting patterns of brightness along the translucent fringe. One shadow falls across the lower curve of the bell.
