Crisp ivory taffeta wraps a dress form standing centered in a wet public plaza in Adzopé. The fabric folds into a dramatic bow that catches the fading indigo light of the blue hour. Raindrops rest on the pleated texture, darkening the ivory to a soft gray in the troughs. The ground reflects the garment and the gloom, creating a mirror image beneath the form. Wet pavement glistens under the dim ambient glow, showing the smooth, heavy drape of the material against the rough, rain-slicked concrete. Water beads on the highest points of the bow, highlighting the structural tension of the stiff fabric. at the edge is a single droplet sliding down the curve of the ribbon.
