Ivory Taffeta Bow on Dress Form at Sunset

Crisp ivory taffeta folds into a massive, sculptural bow perched atop a mannequin torso. The fabric catches the final amber rays of sunset, turning the pleats into glowing ridges against the cooling gray of the St Petersburg plaza. Viewed from a low angle, the form towers above the wet, reflective pavement. The smooth, synthetic surface of the mannequin contrasts with the crinkled texture of the heavy silk. Shadows stretch long across the stone tiles, anchoring the floating bow to the ground. A sharp reflection of the bow's lower loops mirrors perfectly in the dark, polished surface of the plaza floor.
