Ice Core Sample Lifted at Stockholm Dawn

Pale blue ice fills a translucent cylindrical tube held by thick white rubber gloves against a backdrop of gray foam insulation. The tube rests on a white laboratory bench, its surface glistening with condensation. Sidelight skims across the rough texture of the gloves and the smooth, wet surface of the ice, creating sharp highlights along the rim. Low-hanging winter clouds outside the window cast a diffuse, cool illumination that softens the shadows. The foam surrounding the sample appears dense and porous, against the hard, crystalline structure of the frozen core. A faint frost line marks the edge where the ice meets the plastic casing. The scene remains still, focused on the careful handling of the scientific specimen.
