Rusted iron rails jut from a pile of broken ironstone rubble at the mouth of a crumbling mine entrance. The last light of sunset washes the jagged rocks in deep amber and burnt orange tones, highlighting the rough texture of the decaying masonry. Dark, dramatic clouds stack heavily across the sky, casting long, sharp shadows that stretch across the active works site. In the distance, the faint outline of industrial structures blends with the horizon under the heavy, turning-season air.
