Glazing Install Silhouette at Aleppo Excavation

An orange sodium work light casts a harsh, monochromatic glow across a taped-off excavation edge in Aleppo, illuminating the silhouette of a glazing installation in progress. The sun drops toward the horizon, leaving the sky a pale, clear winter blue that contrasts with the deep shadows of the site. Workers stand as dark shapes against the bright window frames they are fitting, their movements frozen in the mid-shift lull. Dust coats every surface, from the rough concrete walls to the metal tools resting on the ground. Early winter light angles low, stretching long shadows across the debris-strewn floor. One pane of glass reflects the fading sky, its edge sharp against the gritty, weathered frame.
