Streetlights flicker to life along the curb, casting a warm, orange glow against the deepening blue of a peak autumn evening. In the foreground, the jagged silhouette of a collapsed awning hangs limp over a vacant storefront, its metal frame twisted and torn. Rain-slicked pavement reflects the distant glow, while wind funnels scattered brown leaves and crumpled paper trash across the wet asphalt.
