Glacier Calving into Fjord at Twilight
Indigo twilight washes over a rugged Russian fjord as a massive glacier tongue breaks away from the mountain ridge. Low-hanging clouds press against the layered foothills, their gray surfaces mirroring the deep blue water below. The ice face displays striations of white and translucent blue, fractured by wind-carved crevasses that catch the faint reflected light. Mist rises from the churning water where the calved section meets the fjord, blending with the atmospheric haze. The steep rock walls flank the ice, their dark granite textures against the smooth, flowing surface of the glacier. Shadows lengthen across the valley floor, showing the scale of the landscape under the endless summer light. A sharp, jagged edge of ice rests against the dark, still water at the base of the slope.
