Giant Flamingo in Havana Textile Market
Soft, diffused midday light falls through wet umbrellas and steam rising from cooking fires in the narrow aisles of Fusterlandia. A fruit seller stands beneath a vibrant canopy, surrounded by stacks of colorful textiles and hanging fabrics that drape the walls. The air carries visible trails of cooking smoke drifting across the scene. Dominating the space, a flamingo the size of a giraffe wades slowly through the market path, its massive pink legs submerged in puddles reflecting the mosaic tiles. The bird's long neck curves gracefully overhead, casting a shadow that stretches across the wet cobblestones and piles of fruit. Each feather on the giant creature catches the damp light, contrasting sharply with the rough texture of the hanging cloth and the glossy sheen of the wet ground. one drop of water slides from the edge of a textile rack onto the pavement near the flamingo's foot.
