Cool fluorescent light floods the surface of a sliced fig resting against a glass pane rimmed with frost. The interior reveals a dense cluster of tiny, pale seeds embedded in soft, pinkish-red flesh. Sharp, crystalline ice crystals rest on the window edge, against the smooth, moist texture of the fruit. The glass reflects small, bright highlights from the overhead lamp, while the background remains a deep, solid black void. A drop of juice glistens on the fruit's cut surface, catching the stark artificial glow. The frost pattern creates a jagged white border against the dark night visible through the glass.
