Falconer Releasing Hawk From Gauntlet at Tunis Reed Bed

Soft, diffused light from a late afternoon sky falls across frost-covered reeds at the edge of a wetland near Tunis. A falconer stands in the foreground, a thick leather gauntlet resting on their arm, supporting a hawk with pale, feathery plumage. The bird tilts its head upward, eyes fixed on the horizon, wings slightly raised. Deep creases mark the worn leather surface beside the sharp claws gripping the glove. Behind them, the reed bed stretches into a soft blur, isolating the pair against the muted tones of the turning season. Frost coats every blade of grass and the edge of the gauntlet, showing the chill of the air.
