Elephant Facade Haveli in Golden Hebei Fog

Vibrant orange light from the low sun strikes the ornate facade of a Rajasthani haveli, highlighting the painted relief of an elephant rising from the stonework. The building stands in a Hebei landscape where ground fog pools in the hollows of the earth, softening the base of the walls. The turn of the seasons is visible in the muted, drying grasses that frame the structure. Shadows stretch long across the painted details, creating a sharp contrast between the warm light and the deepening cool tones of the fog. The composition places the architectural element off-center, drawing attention to the texture of the weathered plaster against the mist. A faint shadow of the elephant's trunk falls across the damp ground below.
