Elephant Ear Taro Plant Twilight Reflection Samoa
Deep green elephant ear taro leaves spread across the lower third of the frame, their broad surfaces marked by prominent pale veins. The foliage rests beside a still pool of water, where the dark shapes of the leaves reflect directly below. Above the plant, a perfectly clear sky transitions from fading indigo to soft violet, holding no clouds. Reflected light from the water surface illuminates the waxy texture of the leaves, creating streaks of emerald and gray in the liquid. Dark, wet soil surrounds the thick central stem, at the base of the plant against the smooth water edge. A small insect remains motionless on the underside of a leaf, its legs gripping the surface.
