Downward Falling Steam Over Aloe Rows

Thick, fleshy aloe vera leaves stretch in rigid rows across a wide panoramic field under a heavy, gray overcast sky. The predawn darkness holds a silvery winter light that flattens the landscape into cool blues and steely grays. Instead of rising, thick white steam falls downward like heavy liquid, pooling around the base of the succulents and forming visible rivulets that rest on the green surfaces.
