Copper Sunset Iceberg in Russian Polar Waters

Copper-toned light washes over a massive iceberg floating in glass-calm water near the Russian Arctic coast. The ice surface shows deep blue fissures and wind-sculpted ridges, against the smooth, mirror-like water that reflects the fading sky. Early spring thaw leaves patches of slush clinging to the ice base. A perfectly clear sky transitions from pale gold near the horizon to deep violet overhead. The vast scale of the ice dominates the wide panoramic view, showing the wind-carved solitude of the landscape. Tiny cracks in the foreground ice reveal the texture of melting snow against the dark water line.
