Coimbatore Quarry Rock Layers Under Overcast Sky
Heavy overcast skies flatten the noon light across the industrial quarry, turning the exposed rock layers into broad planes of rust, slate, and pale cream. Terraced strata step down into the excavation, their rough textures visible beneath the dry, cracked earth of the season. A service road cuts a straight line through the pit, flanked by long cylindrical pipes that run parallel to the edge of the pit. These pipes rest against the uneven ground, casting soft, indistinct shadows on the stone surfaces. The perspective looks directly down, following the road as it disappears toward the quarry's edge, where the final pipe ends abruptly against the rock face.
