Cooling Towers on Ghaziabad Quarry Ledge
Bright midmorning light reflects off shallow water at the base of a rugged quarry ledge near Ghaziabad, illuminating three massive concrete cooling towers. Fine dust hangs in the air, forming visible shafts that cut across the pale sky and fall across the rough stone edges of the excavation. The ground below mixes raw earth with wet surfaces that mirror the towering structures and the weathered concrete stained with mineral deposits. Converging lines from the quarry walls and access roads extend toward a distant vanishing point behind the central tower. Flat concrete platforms rest beside the excavation, covered in a layer of charged material grit that settles along the flat surfaces and into the cracks of the rough stone. A faint white plume drifts from the top of the nearest tower, dissolving into the hazy atmosphere before hitting the dusty ground.
