Rust-stained steel beams form a rigid grid above a concrete loading dock perched on a jagged quarry ledge. Heavy iron machinery stands motionless against the backdrop of late autumn gray skies. The ground is a patchwork of cracked asphalt and exposed bedrock, showing the harsh texture of the Diyarbakır terrain. Converging lines from the warehouse roof structure draw toward a distant vanishing point where the shift change occurs. Workers in dark, heavy coats move as small figures between massive pallets and shipping containers. The light is flat and diffuse, casting soft, undefined shadows that emphasize the mechanical severity of the steel and stone. One oil stain spreads across the wet concrete near a forklift tire.
