The sky above remains perfectly clear, a deep indigo canvas typical of polar night's last blue light. Diagonal lines of melting water carve paths down the uneven terrain, guiding toward the faint orange illumination of buildings in the distance. The ground texture shifts from powdery dryness to slick, saturated earth where the warm wind has touched the surface.
