Callaloo Bowl Over Sardinian Seagrass Meadow

Bright late-afternoon sunlight pierces exceptionally clear water to illuminate a ceramic bowl resting on a Sardinian seagrass meadow. The dish holds vibrant green callaloo, chunks of crab, and pale dumplings floating in broth. Sunlight fractures into shimmering patterns across the submerged vegetables and the textured, ribbon-like leaves of the seagrass below. Slow-moving surface ripples distort the view of the food from behind, creating a luminous, slightly distorted appearance. The water is so transparent that the bowl casts a faint, dark shadow directly onto the swaying green stems. Fine particles of sediment drift in the current near the rim of the bowl.
