Soft morning light falls through rain-washed air, illuminating a vibrant blue dragon sea slug suspended near the ocean surface. The creature floats against a backdrop of dark, fringed kelp swaying along the Sardinian shelf. Tiny suspended particles glitter in the water column, catching the bright midmorning sun. The slug's translucent blue body creates a striking silhouette, its delicate appendages trailing in the gentle current. Early spring clarity reveals the texture of the kelp blades and the subtle movement of the water. The surface tension holds the slug in place, while the surrounding water shimmers with reflected light. One ray of sunlight pierces the depth, highlighting the edge of the slug's gills against the darker kelp forest below.
