Blood Orange Cross Section Morning Moss Light

Vibrant crimson segments of a sliced blood orange rest directly upon a carpet of damp, emerald moss. First morning light enters from the left, tracing the translucent, jewel-like walls of the fruit's flesh and highlighting the glistening droplets of dew clinging to the surrounding vegetation. The interior shadows cast by the orange create deep, warm pockets of red and purple against the bright green background. Fine textures of the citrus pulp stand in sharp contrast to the soft, spongy surface of the moss. One ray of light catches the wet edge of a segment, revealing the granular structure of the juice sacs against the dark, earthy backdrop.
