Red Cabbage Veins Stained Glass Moss

Vibrant violet and crimson veins of a red cabbage cross-section radiate outward like stained glass against a bed of damp green moss. Sunlight penetrates the thin tissue from behind, illuminating the intricate network of pale green and white channels within the deep purple flesh. The cut surface glistens with dew droplets that catch the light, creating soft highlights along the jagged edges. Surrounding the vegetable, the moss appears flattened and saturated, reflecting muted tones of the overhead light. The composition centers the vegetable, filling the frame with its organic geometry. A shadow of the cabbage rim falls sharply across the wet moss, defining the boundary between the vegetable and the earth.
