Bioluminescent Algae Wake Behind Rowing Boat

Warm golden light spills across the water surface as a small rowing boat cuts through the harbor mouth near Gusau. The vessel leaves a trailing wake where bioluminescent algae ignite in glowing blue-green streaks against the darkening sea. Cool season air ripples the water, while scattered leaves skitter across the foreground surface, caught in a sudden gust. The horizon fades into a thick, gray fog that softens the distant shoreline. The rowers' oars dip rhythmically, churning the water into a luminous path that contrasts sharply with the shadowed hull. One bright patch of algae rests on the wet wood of the boat's stern, reflecting the last amber rays of the sun.
