Soft, diffused light from late afternoon clouds illuminates the dark water surface near a ferry crossing. A kayak cuts through the liquid, leaving a churning wake that bursts with vibrant blue bioluminescent dinoflagellates. The glowing particles trace the path of the hull, creating a stark contrast against the deep, wet indigo of the river. Heavy, dramatic clouds gather overhead, casting shifting shadows across the water while rain-soaked air settles. The water ripples outward in concentric waves, each disturbance revealing flashes of electric light. Dark silhouettes of distant banks frame the edges, at the base of the scene in a specific, remote landscape. The wake curves sharply, its luminous trail ending in a final cluster of glowing droplets clinging to the water's surface.
