Amber Crocuses Bloom Through Snow in Oslo Forest

Rich amber light from the setting sun spills across a forest floor near Oslo, illuminating a cluster of purple crocuses pushing through patches of melting spring snow. Ferns with fresh green fronds line the edges of the clearing, standing against the low-hanging gray clouds that diffuse the golden hour glow. The snow appears granular and wet, resting on the soil between the delicate flower stems. Shadows stretch long and soft across the mossy ground, highlighting the texture of the unfurled leaves and the waxy petals of the crocuses. Sunlight catches the translucent edges of the petals and the rough bark of nearby tree trunks. One droplet of meltwater rests on a fern leaf near the base of a purple bloom.
