Directly overhead, a patchwork of rectangular allotment gardens stretches across the landscape, their geometric plots interrupted by the rusted steel tracks of railway sidings. The early afternoon sun casts short, sharp shadows that define the edges of the cultivated earth against the dry, pale soil. Patches of green vegetation contrast with the brown earth, signaling the turn of seasons. Below, a layer of ground fog pools in the low-lying valleys between the orchard blocks, softening the transition to the irrigation lines that snake through the terrain. The railway tracks run in straight, rigid lines, cutting through the organic shapes of the gardens. The entire scene rests under a clear, dry sky, with the fog creating a textured boundary between the ground and the air.
