Aerial Vienna Salt Ponds Backlit Drizzle

High above the salt ponds and causeways near Vienna, early spring rain creates a soft, gray haze over the landscape. The low sun casts long, sharp silhouettes from the narrow walkways that crisscross the wet basins. Water reflects the dimming sky while the city lights begin to glow in the distance, piercing the drizzle. Tiny figures move along the paths, their scale reduced to mere specks against the vast, geometric expanse of the salt fields. The wet surfaces glisten with a cool, metallic sheen, and the raindrops create faint ripples on the still water. One dark shape of a worker pauses at the edge of a causeway, casting a thin shadow that stretches across the glistening mud.
