Wind Farm Road Vanishes in Hill Fog Near Water Tower
by Jordyn Irwin
Heavy overcast skies hang low over the wet season landscape, casting a diffuse gray light that reflects off the surface of a nearby water tower. A service road cuts through the scene, disappearing into thick hill fog that swallows the path between massive white wind turbines. To the left, the rusted metal ladder of a water tower climbs out of the frame, its rungs wet with recent rain. In the distance, the city of Santa Teresa del Tuy begins to glow with small points of warm artificial light, contrasting against the cool, damp air. The road surface is slick with moisture, mirroring the pale sky above. The white blades of the turbines stand tall and silent, their bases partially obscured by the swirling mist. A reflection of the ladder on the wet metal surface creates a sharp, linear detail at the bottom edge.
