Uphill Water Flowing Produce Stair Hall

by Beau Cox

Pale stone walls define a narrow stair hall where a gradient of produce displays shifts from deep green to vibrant red. Water defies gravity, climbing the slope of the steps in clear, shimmering rivulets that pool at the highest landing. Broad skylight floods the space, casting soft shadows against the textured rock surfaces. The tiled floors reflect the colorful arrangement, creating a rhythmic pattern of geometry and color. Each step holds a distinct hue, transitioning smoothly from forest tones to crimson. The impossible stream moves upward with liquid precision, its surface catching the light as it ascends the steep incline. At the top, the water gathers in a still, glassy pool against the curved archway.
