Transparent Clipboard on Airbase Flight Line
Late afternoon sun falls through leafy branches, casting shifting dappled patterns across a military clipboard resting on a concrete barrier along the Interlaken airbase flight line. The clipboard holds a standard base pass form, yet the clipboard itself is a solid, transparent object like glass, retaining the dull green tint of the original plastic while allowing the paper beneath to be seen clearly through its body. Low-hanging gray clouds press against the horizon above the tarmac, where the late spring grass shows fresh, bright green shoots. The light catches the edges of the transparent material, creating sharp, refracted highlights that separate the impossible object from the gritty, textured concrete and weathered metal of the surrounding flight line infrastructure. A shadow from the clipboard falls strictly to the right, at the base of the surreal element in the physical reality of the scene.
