Freshly Dug Potatoes in Dawn Soil Near Pune

Dark, cloddy earth stretches across the frame, bisected by a straight furrow where the harvest begins. The soil is heavy and moist, glistening with irrigation water that reflects the first pale rays of sunrise. Bright orange and yellow potatoes lie exposed in the trench, their skins rough and dusted with wet dirt. To the right, a tractor track presses into the ground, its parallel ridges cutting through the dark soil. The dry season air is evident in the lack of lush greenery, leaving only the bare, worked earth. Sunlight hits the water beads in the furrow, creating sharp, white highlights against the brown and black tones of the ground. The scene ends at the edge of the track where the soil turns to a lighter, dusty gray.
