Surf Lines Strike Black Sand Coast France

Dappled sunlight falls through overhead foliage, casting shifting patches of bright white and deep shadow across the churning water below. From directly above, white foamy lines of surf crash against a stark, jet-black volcanic sand beach in France. Low-hanging gray clouds press down on the horizon, softening the contrast between the sea and sky. Late autumn leaves frame the top edge of the view, their edges blurred by the height. The rhythmic curves of the breaking waves create intricate geometric patterns against the dark shoreline. A cluster of tiny, colorful surfboards rests on the wet sand near the water's edge, appearing as small geometric shapes against the vast, textured expanse of the coast.
