Steel Wool Sparks in Bordj Bou Arreridj Tunnel

Pale concrete walls of a skylit passageway in Bordj Bou Arreridj reflect the flat glare of noon, creating a bright, diffuse environment. From a direct overhead perspective, a circular trail of golden sparks arcs through the center of the frame, captured as a continuous long-exposure line. The sparks contrast sharply against the cool, rain-washed gray of the wet floor and the stark white of the ceiling. Lamplight settles softly into the deep corners where the skylight does not reach, adding subtle shadows to the geometric structure. Rain-streaked glass above hints at the rainy season outside, while the glowing arc of molten steel wool creates a graphic, circular tension against the rigid, linear architecture of the tunnel. One spark fades into the dark corner of the wall.
