Steel Drum Performer on Havana Beach at Dusk
Reflected light from the dark water washes over a steel pan performer standing on a dimly lit stage. The musician wears a white shirt, arms raised mid-stroke with drumsticks in hand. Behind the performer, heavy black curtains drape vertically, layered with stage haze that catches the low ambient glow. Thick black cables snake across the floorboards, disappearing into the shadows near the curtain hem. The dry season air leaves the air clear, allowing the warm tungsten spill from the stage to contrast with the deep blue twilight of the Caribbean horizon.
