Steam Vent Jungle Tram Stop Winter Twilight

Steel-blue twilight washes the wet asphalt of a Podgorica tram stop where steam erupts violently from a rusted manhole cover. Thick, emerald jungle vines have inexplicably overgrown the right half of the frame, draping heavy green tendrils over the metal grate and curling around the concrete curb. Rain-slicked crosswalk stripes glisten under the low-hanging grey clouds, contrasting sharply with the lush, impossible foliage that seems to have sprung up overnight. A solitary metal bench sits half-buried in the creeping vines, its surface reflecting the cold ambient light. The steam rises in white plumes, mixing with the dense air before vanishing into the gloom. One vine leaf rests on the wet ground near the edge of the crosswalk.
