Steam Rising from Heating Pipe Trench in Winter

Warm golden light spills across a concrete trench cutting through a bed of brown autumn leaves beneath the steel cables of a bridge. Thick white steam rises steadily from the open trench, contrasting sharply with the crisp winter air and the dark gray clouds gathering above. The Yongkang Street bridge structure looms overhead, its steel girders catching the low sun. Fallen leaves rest on the damp earth around the pipe, their edges turning brittle and curled. The steam drifts upward, thinning as it meets the heavy cloud cover, while the bridge's shadow stretches long across the pavement. One patch of steam remains dense and bright against the dark underpass.
