Pale starlight spills across a towering termite mound that dominates the foreground, its rough, earthen surface textured with small ridges and vertical channels. The mound rises sharply against a deep, dark sky scattered with faint pinpricks of light. Surrounding the structure, early spring savanna grasses stand short and brittle, their tips catching the faint ground glow near the soil line. The air holds a visible haze that softens the distant horizon, showing moisture in the night. Shadows stretch long and soft from the mound's base, blending into the flat, open plain. The composition places the mound at the left third, leaving the right side open to the vast, quiet expanse of the field under the night sky.
