Dawn Lighthouse Beam Over Guyana Levee Interchange

A sweeping beam of white light cuts through the pre-dawn darkness, illuminating the concrete geometry of an overpass interchange. The structure rises above a dark, churning floodwater channel, its surface marked by stark white lane arrows that glow against the gray asphalt. Cool season air ripples the water below, visible as a textured expanse of black and silver. The light sweeps across the scene in rhythmic intervals, highlighting the massive pillars and the layered roads. Shadows stretch long and deep between the concrete ribs, showing the vertical scale of the infrastructure. The beam stops abruptly at the edge of the levee path, leaving the distant horizon in absolute blackness. One arrow on the lowest ramp catches the light, its paint slightly worn at the edges.
