Spanish Moss Live Oak Dead Sea Storm Dawn

Pale gray Spanish moss hangs in dense, fibrous strands from the rough, dark bark of a live oak branch. Below, a horizon of stacked thunderheads rises over the Dead Sea under heavy overcast skies. First rays of sunrise break through the gray clouds, casting cool light across the wet sheen on the oak and the damp texture of the hanging moss. The branch extends from the left, occupying the upper third of the view while the storm clouds dominate the right side. Condensation rests on the tips of the moss fibers, resting against the edge of a dark leaf. The scene sits in late summer, where the air holds visible moisture.
